We process your personal data for the following purposes:
We are processing your personal data in connection to your application for authorization as a veterinary technician. Ore in connection to your notification of temporary or occasional performance of tasks reserved for veterinary technicians.
The basis in law for our processing of your personal data ensues from:
Chapter 2, section 3 and chapter 3, in the Danish order no. 605 of 1 og June 2017, on authorization as a veterinary technician. Chapter 3 on the Processing of information, section 8, paragraph 1 and section 11, paragraph 1 in the Danish Act no. 502 of 23 May 2018, on Data protection.
We process the following categories of personal data about you:
As general personal information we are processing; Name, Address, CPR-number (Civil registration number in Denmark) and/or ID-number and/or passport number, Date of birth, Telephone number, E-mail address, Evidence of professional qualifications , Citizenship and Criminal sanctions related to the profession as a veterinary technician.
We disclose your personal data or make it available to the following recipients:
Data is used by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration and our data supplier, as a mandate of the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration.
If there is a need to exchange information with other authorities, institutions or the like, in the processing of your case, this will also happen. For instance in regards to the veterinary surgeon you are going to assist, we might have to contact him or her e.g. in relation to which specific diagnostic tests on which animals you are going to take. In addition, there may also be a need to exchange your personal data with IMI/ Internal Market Information System.
Finally, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration passes on personal information to other parties if the agency is obliged under other legislation - including access to documents according to the Public Access to Information Act.
As an EU citizen or a third-country national with derived rights under Directive 2005/36/EC on the recognition of professional qualifications, applying for authorization ore permit to practice on a temporary ore occasional basis, we will not transfer personal data to recipients outside the EU and the EEA.
Your personal data originates from yourself in connection to your application and our registration of your authorization ore permit to practice on a temporary or occasional basis as a veterinary technician.
The personal data may also originate from other authorities or institutions if information from these, is to be requested in the specific case processing. e.g. from the Internal Market Information System.
Currently we cannot say how long we will keep your personal data. However, we can inform you that the data can be kept as long as they remain relevant in regards to your application, authorization ore permit, which necessitates the keeping of your personal data for several years.
Information in relation to an issued authorization or permit will be retained for as long as the authorization or permit are valid.
All of the data are stored in accordance with the principles of the Danish act on public access to documents in public files, so that they are accessible with regard to public administration. Furthermore, the instructions of the Rigsrevisionen (The National Audit Agency of Denmark) and Rigsarkivaren (the Danish National Archivist) are followed. Moreover, we are required to keep your data for at least 5 years confer the rules of filing-records, pursuant to section 15 the Public Access to Information Act.
Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have several rights in relation to our processing of data concerning you. If you wish to exercise your rights, you must contact us.
Right of access
You have the right to obtain access to the data we process concerning you, together with a number of other data.
Right to rectification (correction)
You have the right to have incorrect data concerning you rectified.
Right to erasure
In special cases, you have the right to have data concerning you erased before the time of our ordinary general erasure.
Right to restriction of processing
In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the extent to which we process your personal data. If you have the right to restrict processing, we will henceforth only process information with your consent – with the exception of storage – or if a legal claim can be established, exercised or defended, or to protect a person or important public interests.
Right to object
In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.
Right to transmit data (data portability)
In certain cases, you are entitled to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to have this personal data transmitted from one data controller to another without hindrance.
