The decision on whether or not to issue an authorization will be made as soon as possible after all necessary documents have been received. Usually you can expect to get an answer from the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration within four weeks.
If a decision cannot be made within four weeks, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration will contact you and inform you on when you can expect a decision to be made.
The authorization is not to be considered as granted if the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration has not replied within the set time.
In case of rejection
If the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration decides to refuse your application for authorization, the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration will send you a reasoned decision.
If you disagree with the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration´s decision to refuse your application for an authorization as a veterinary technician, you have the right to appeal. The deadline for submitting an appeal is four weeks from date on which the decision was announced.
The appeal should be submitted to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration, which will forward it to the Danish Appeal Board, Miljø- og Fødevareklagenævnet.
